Our System Center Memo

Unable to Import Drivers

This is as frustrating as it is funny when we finally found out the problem. There was a time we could never import a driver into SCCM. At first we deleted one of the folder containing many drivers in SCCM, and then when we wanted to import the drivers again it would fail saying the drivers already exist. Going back to all the folders including the root, we could find no trace of them! Frustrated, we just mashed F5. Guess what? The drivers all appeared on the root folder.

Turns out, whenever you delete a subfolder containing drivers, all it’s drivers will be automatically moved to the root folder, but you need to refresh to make it appear! We then deleted all those drivers, initiated another reimport and everything worked.

Yes, the solution is that simple!
